On June 24th Hamilton approved a temporary pause on all datacentre development to give city staff and councillors time to draft Canada's first municipal regulatory framework for AI datacentres.
The motion passed in a 15–1 vote and can be found here.
Vancouver and Mississauga will table their own motions later this month.
